My guess would be plug leads or, more possibly, the connections at each end (including the coil lead). Get yourself a test meter which will check resistance and measure the resistance in each lead.

Tom, The best solution is to get one turned up by an engineering shop. I have never found a parts supplier who even recognises them. Brown & Gammons and M&G International of the UK do not list them.
