let it soak in PB penetrating oil or Kroil, or keosene. soak it for at least a week. take your time on dissasembly. I did 2 out of 69 2L and screwed up the first one using too much force. I just took

due to construction of the frame , different layers in different places, I believe the only way to remove most corrossion is by dipping/bath method. also only way to get best coorrosion protection. d

You can buy a new one from the vendors,($22) or Dean sells a new seal for your original cap. or using rubber gasket material you can make a new seal and glue it in with weather strip glue. Russ South

Sorry about the delay(senior moment), looks like the inides are pinned in(note hole in empty assy) looks like a PO drilled out the pin as the hole is larger than on the others that are still pinned.

I used a sawzall, side grinder w/wafer wheel . but had to use a torch on the frame, to many different layers in the frame. I do have a spare frame, spare vin plate and titles. Russ Southwell 70 1600
