Brian Could your right rear brake backing-plate be loose? The six (?) nuts and studs into the trailing arm may have some slack. Be very careful tightening them up as they can strip. Peter H 73/74 TR

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the torque on these stud is 15 lbs.-ft. 26-28 is a lot of torque. These studs are going into a soft aluminum casting. I've used some locktite, new nuts and careful torqui

Ken Ball's Autopress manual gives a specification of 26-28 lb ft for 5/16" connections, but didn't specifically mention these nuts. My Bentley manual does give a 11-16 for trailing arm to brake plat
