Hello Steve, There is no need to have a locking petrol cap for BN1s and BN2s. Just lock the trunk lid and you can4t reach the petrol cap. So I do not believe there was a locking cap as a factory opti

I am the reason for this mess :-) I have seen a BMIHT certificate of a BN1 (nor my car, but the car is Poland) where the Factory Fitted Equipment lists as follows: - wire wheels - locking petrol cap
