You don't need the solenoid at all, the gear reduction starter has its own solenoid. Just put the hot leads together on one terminal on the solenoid (or bypass it all together and remove the solenoi

Not sure about this question--never heard of a solenoid on a Healey clutch--but there's 4 wires to the starter solenoid: - 'hot,' heavy gauge cable from the battery - heavy gauge cable to the starter
