Years ago when I was redoing a TR4A a misplaced the VIN plate and ordered a new one from Moss or VB, don't remember which, took it down to a trophy shop (engraving) to have the correct number on it.

Hey Frank, FYI...California law does not allow you to remove the original manufacturer's VIN plate for any reason (10751 CVC). If you remove the VIN plate and/or any other identifying vehicle numbers

Actually there were 3 different plates and or locations for the basic number plate within the production of the BN1. First was the ivory coloured plastic plate we've recently been speaking about that
