- someone rebuildable a just Jim, You won't have any problems so to speak of....but a '78 Buick motor isn't one of Buick's best. Any mount could be fabricated, and the motor is just a little wider than

- Ok, a Buick has some plus' over a Chevy. The distributor is in front, making service times a little easier. They are cheaper than Chevys and they will bolt up to a Chevy trans, but 2 bolts won't line

- I'd make sure it's really a 350. - My first car was a 78 Century - Yes it was UGLY but the dealer would really deal. I recall the largest engine was a 305 and it was a smog laden weakling. Good luck.

- Do not Know about Buick but I put a Olds 350 with a 350 auto in a 55-2 stepside and loved It! but someone rebuildable a just oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959

- Hey Jim Personally, I'd hold out for the Chevy 350 if possible. Got a local want advertiser in your area? Here in New England, I can pick up the local sheet and there will be a couple dozen Chevy 350
