I don't believe that the 3/4 ton actually refers to a 3/4 of a ton load capacity, maybe at one time. I checked my owners manual and new model information manual for my 59 GMC and could not find a cur

That's seems a bit odd to me....I can't imagine it weighing much more than 100-150lbs than a 1/2 ton pickup. Mike oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959
