Can't really help on the rest buy I'm pretty sure all the 47-53 series trucks had chrome grilles. Haven't seen a stock s/s one yet. On the running boards, don't think braiseing them would be strong e

I thought I read somewhere that there was restrictions on the non-military use of chrome during the Korean Conflict and that all the AD grilles were painted for a couple of years. ...it was all well

Some FYI about the chrome grilles: 1947 to 1951 chrome grilles were RPO 386 (regular production order) No chrome for 1952 and 1953, all was painted (mostly grey) Almost all the original chrome items
