Its been awhile since collage, but if I remember right, there are types of stainless steel that are magnetic, i.e. a magnet sticks to them. Most all stainless steels have a some iron in them. Anybody

The 400 series of stainless is magnetic, the 300 series ususally called 18-8 isn't. 400 series has a higher iron content while the 300 series has a higher nickle content. Jessie 55-56-57 halfstep ole
