The biggest issue is the one you mention; it doesn't work with closed driveline and you would have to swap (54/55 1st series parts?). The best part of the deal is that it will convert your 3.90 final

The Borg Warner OD is correct for our TF trucks; the Saginaw version was made 65-72 but fits in the TF trucks...looking at the manual...alot of the parts look the same too... Mark Noakes oletrucks is
