- My local Auto Parts Store carry's a universal kit to install the inner cable. I don't know the part number but it is available. You basically just cut the inner cable to the size you need an crimp on

- The fix I described is for the speedometer needle shaft not the cable. I think I mis-spoke a bit using the term "cable connector." I think it is a connector for coax type TV cable not speedometer cab
