Sounds to me like the box was reassembled wrong, probably one turn off to the left. But before you tear it apart again make sure the pitman arm is on correctly. If I remember right, there is one "mis

You'd have spotted this while trying to install the wheels as the tie rods should be the same distance from the wheel at any point in the steering curve. My guess is the steering wheel wasn't centere
