- The non-original 1098cc engine in my Sprite died (the top compression ring on all four pistons [three pistons of one style and one of another] broke along with the ring groove to the top of the pist

- Or I could just buy Item# 220038176588 off eBay: I bought a 1972 MG Midget with this 1275 engine. The engine was not installed at the time. The previous owner said that the engine was rebuilt 2 years

- I got a set of forged oversized pistons with a custom dish volume for a turbo 1275 from Venolia in California. I've been very happy with the motor/pistons. Not cheap, but not out of line with others
