Can someone tell me what the correct size for the door speakers are? I've usually heard 4", but I have also heard 3.5" Also, does anyone have a source for the original style speaker grilles? The ones

Does anyone know the largest size that will fit? 3.5 is a bit small considering the sound of the engine. Does anyone know how much space there is between the door panel and the door itself? Thanks! J

I recently replaced the speakers on my 79 B and had a few problems. First of all I believe the size is 4 or 4.5 inches. The problem came with finding a full-range speaker that would fit in the door.

My 78 B has 5.25" speakers mounted in the door. Actually, I bought it with 5.25" holes in the door, with speaker grills, but no speakers. I bought some standard Pioneer 5.25" speakers and stuck them

Jason, If you're willing to do some custom work, consider some build-out panels for the kick panels. You'll get better stereo separation, and you should be able to fit a pair of 6 1/2" or 8" mids in
