Correct Frank! The 9CG engine was 'introduced' with the new Mark II along with the 1 1/4" carbs and a few other minor changes. Biff, AN5, 'Kermit' & HAN6, 'Ole Gray' difference but I carbs.

Ahh the original post asked if there were any "visable" differences. Unless you have been smokin a lot of rope or have xray vision, you can not see those cam bearings. Keep on smokin (tires) Frank

The 9CG blocks did have three vice one camshaft bearings. Herb was looking for differences he could see from the outside. If the machine shop gave him a 9CG for his 9C block I would say he came out a
