I am leaning toward using Linseed oil on the inside of the chassis to protect from rust. I've seen a lot of fancy products that do the same thing, but it looks like Linseed oil will do a good enough

I've not tried it, but as I recall linseed oil was only good for preserving metal that was protected from the weather. Not sure if it was sun or rain that made the difference, but it would only pres

Don't know about cars, but Linseed oil is used to preserve the inside of steel-tube fuselages in airplanes. Used to use it anyway. John

If you're concerned about the price, you can mix your own by dissolving 1lb of canning (not candle) paraffin in a gallon of kerosene and spraying with that. I've also heard recommended 1 part paraff

When I researched it, seemed to me that Dinitrol 3125 was the best. Most expensive too. But then dealing with a rusted out frame isn't cheap either. Don Malling
