Like many things, the answer is "It depends." There are compatibility issues with paints, so be careful what you paint over what. Taking the paint off will allow you to find poorly patched bodywork (

I've had the privilege of cutting up several TR6 parts cars. All of them (ironically) were repaints over _damson_. From the looks of it, the painting was done early in the cars' lives. At any rate,
