- I'm tearing down a 1275 block and came across something that really looks bad to me. But, I'm pretty damn amateur as it turns out...When I removed the timing gear and chain I found a hole that passes

- This hole is on all 1275s, very similar to the hole in the center web under the center main bearing carrier. I think they used a hammer to make these holes. It's for oil flow. Do NOT plug it up ;) --
