Although I've not done it, my understanding is that the small journal cam bearings will press into the 1500 block without modification. Oil holes should be in the bearings and need to be lined up wit

I just put an after market cam in my '78 Spitfire. It said on the box the cam was for a Mk.3 and I ordered standard Mk.3 cam bearings. The machine shop just pressed the bearings in, no boring.

I have three cams at home, one a reconditioned Spitfire 1500 cam. One a Herald 13/60 cam and one a Dolomite 1500 cam. All are exactly the same in size etc. PS. I was running temporally with a 13/60 b
