I agree with everything you are doing too with one exception. Forget about the Judson Supercharger. BTDT. You don't say whether or not you have a 948 or 1275 in this beauty. You are better off just

So, the year before last, I sold my used Judson Supercharger (that came with a Bugeye I bought) at the LRP swap meet on vintage weekend. At the time, I had no idea how smart I was.

Oh, yeah!!! I forgot! Thank you, David. :) Lester.... If you do a Judson with the Holley carb. you'll definitely have to go with a slippery throttle cable. The Holley is "sensitive" in this respect.
