The paint that I have found under all of the grease on my 1C motor, 1C-H/37718 as well as the transmission has been the Healey Green. As far as we can tell this motor has never been out of the car.

Could have been the way to distinguish the M.M.????? I do believe that you are correct in it was only applied once the change was made to convert to the six port head and I personally have never seen

It looks too dark to be Healey Green. 33799 is pretty early. One question is that the auction mentions that he has two engines. Is the one we are seeing the original engine? I have emailed him asking

We'll the car is off right now, so the pictures I posted showing the Healey Green on the engine are all I will have. I am throughly convinced that on my car Healey Green was the original engine color
