I am about to re-install my engine. The block and head are still apart. Is there a problem with installing the block and head separately? I thought it may be easier to manuever around. Kenny 61 BT-7

Most healey guys seem to argue that putting the whole thing in at once is easier... but I'm with you. When I did my BJ8 I put the block in first then the head on later. I found it much easier to man

Hi Kenny, I used an engine hoist to drop my tranny into the engine bay first, slid it back then raised it into position with some boards across the cockpit floor. Then came the engine minus the head.

I don't think there is a "right and wrong" on this one.... I personally found it easier to install the head when the engine was still on the engine stand. .....But then, I also installed the engine,
