Vance and others, I don't really know but, are you sure it is ok to install the rod caps backwards even if they have been machined that way? I am only asking this because when the rods are machined i

My understanding about the rod cap orientation is that the angled cut on one side of each cap is for clearance to the block during rotation. If they were reversed there would not be enough clearance
