- I would suggest you riveting a plate and then sealing it with fiberglass. Much stronger and longer lasting.

- i wouldn't reccommend bondo or any of the plastic fillers that use a hardener. the hardener is an oxidizer and you know what metal does when it oxidizes, and we have to deal with enough of that alrea

- I really hate pop rivet floor repairs. Zap screws (1/4" head self drilling screws) are much more secure, just grind off the heads as close as possible to the flooror try to place them in the recesses
