My first guess is that you have bad connections at the battery. You have enough power for the igniyion system but not enough to operate the headlamps or starter. Check your connections. Alan S 67HBJ8

I would add solenoid to battery, as all the juice flows through there, had that problem once in the past after a long stretch of humid weather and corrosion to the terminals on the solenoid. Greg Lem
