Pter, while I don't necessarily disagree with your sentiments, I am amazed that you can hear the pump when the car is running, and even more so on the road. Any reminder of the pump goes away for me

Before I got a solid state SU pump I could tune my BMC radio between stations and monitor the functioning of the pump ... sort of a poor man's heart monitor. It's kinda neat how the pump operates (in

Some of you guys must either have very quiet cars or very loud fuel pumps. Shortly after pushing the starter button on my car (as long as it starts), there's way too many other noises going on that
