I saw on ebay, a 2L header that had been painted with por15. Looks real nice! will this hold up to heat? I always thought it was basically a superglue type formula and that stuff gets nasty when exp

Has anyone done the "oh, my you've got to be kidding?" trick of "brushing" the entire header with aluminum antisieze? It has to rate as one of the all time messiest things to do, as you really need t

I have used VHT flat black on exhaust manifolds, including turbocharged engines and it turns to dark grey quickly but it dont burn or flake off if the manifold is sandblasted before. I have tried oth

Is that from experience Tom? The key to using any of those so-called header paints is to have the header exhaust sand/media blasted prior to painting. Of all the coatings I had put on headers over th

Yes, but never got a chance to run the car and see the long term effects. It has been done before, and if you cover a clean manifold, really didn't look at that bad! Oh, it will have LOTS of fumes th

I put antisieze on parts of my intake manifold a couple years ago and it's holding up fine under the heat. Don't know about the exhaust header, but maybe I'll try a little bit on a portion. That anti
