The Pertronix should not affect the VA in most cases. Which Mallory dist. do you have (what is their model number) as there are several different Pertronix kits for the Mallory for 8 Cylinder. Jeff

I can't really answer this as I know nothing about them myself, but I am guessing it is because the Ignition control computer needs the weights/springs taken out of the equation for it to be able to
