- Doug, The front edge of the side windows is supposed to slide in felt in a u-shaped channel and the rear has a couple nylon padsthat ride in the rear guide. The rattling is probably from the missing

- There are no felt channels in healey windows... they are held in place with nylon guides on the window's edge. The rattling can come from two different things: 1) Missing nylon guides 2) the bottom

- I had a 64 BJ8 in 65-70 and my memory was that it had felt in the channel also. However, Rich is correct in his description and I found that out when my club helped me replace my driver side window.

- I might add that there is also another cause for rattling when the window is down. There is a rubber piece mounted in the lower inside window casing on which the window glass channel rests when it is

- Also .. The windows require a bit of adjusting (rear vertical track) as well as the window height .. You can also adjust the rake of the window a bit to make a better even seam between the winshield
