The car I am now restoring had that problem when it belonged to my brother. flywheel then allowed to cool. If it gets tack welded at this point I don't know. My ring gear actually was pushed by the

I got fed up with the crunching noises too, so I changed the ring gear. Pretty easy job. To get the old one off, I used a tough chisel and a big hammer. Put the chisel between two teeth on the ring g
