I have 2 sets of Pauter TR3/4 rods and they are great, but they have been a little heavier than Carrillos. I have been trying to get them to cut the weight down. They said maybe next time I order som

What do the Carrillo TR4 rods weigh? My Crowers weigh in at 766 grams each; that is 538 rotating and 228 reciprocating. Just curious. Barry

We bought Pauter rods for Susan's spitfire. Nice looking and seem to be working just fine in the car. The major issue we had with them is on one of the rods they stamped the cap and the rod, then tu

Compare your TR6 rods to a TR4's. Ours are almost twice the size. Wish the TR6 would work in a TR4. And with such small rods and pistons, why do they say a TR6 will not live at much over 6,800 rpm or

The low rpms of the TR6 is due to its rubber-band crankshaft. There are nasty resonances at around 6200, and then again at 7800 (I think). A billet-steel crank eliminates that, and the you can wind

With the TR-6 it is not the rods (although they could use some help) but it is the crankshaft. It has no overlap and thus it whips around and has a terrible harmonic right where you want to race the

I had an expensive independent engineering firm do a survey of the TR-6 crankshaft in about 1969 or 1970. Their recommendation was that nitride treatment to the crank would improve the strength (liva
