After rebuilding my carbs, I decided to take the butterfly shafts out to clean the bushings/shafts good and put in new return springs and I've gotten 3 of the 4(2 on each carb)the butterfly screws ou

First make sure that its not the end of the screw being too wide to come out. You have probably noticed that the end is split and widened so the screw will not back out when the carb is assembled an

Ahhh....I noticed the other 3 screws were a little frayed at the ends but did not realize they were split. It almost looked some sort of 'brass solder' was dropped on the ends put i did'nt pay much a

reexpand them. you don't want one getting sucked into the engine it would probably cause a good deal of damage. Cheers Ken
