Hi Drew, I'd go with Ulix' advice. Try a stock front bar first; especially considering the prices you noted. My '73 has a stock front bar (with hard plastic bushings) and a very small rear bar. I lik

Is there any problem with drilling the lower A arms for a sway bar attachment? My Bugeye never had bars and I am wondering if drilling holes would weaken them. Are the newer A arms reinforced where t

No problem drilling holes if you make sure to use backing plates when you bolt through the A-frames. I made backing plates out of scrap steel that I had laying around. Kent

Just a quick question. Is there any difference between the sway bars for a RB vs. a CB? There is one on ebay and they say it fits all 1500 Midgets. I believe the front springs are different, so is th

The standard 1500 sway bar is equivalent to an uprated (i.e. torsionally stiffer) 1275 midget bar. A worthwhile improvement Guy for a RB Midgets. I difference in

52% increase is a big increase but in relation to what? The really interesting math would be to work out the total roll stiffness of the front end of the Spridget and then factor in how big a change

On a street Sprite the 7/8 anti roll/sway bar is too much. I down sized to a 3/4" bar and for my driving habits, it's perfect. But the same 7/8 bar on a tall skinny Austin A40 worked out perfect. It
