Not a "6" guy but a couple of comments -- Fuel pressure gauges are pretty inexpensive and double as vacuum gauges (at least mine does) if you want to know the pressure you're getting, but... I wouldn

I would look first at your carbs, as I think they are a much more likely suspect than low fuel pressure, from your description. Then, as someone else suggested, get a vacuum/fuel pressure gauge and
