- I have a 78 Spitfire and the tach will not work, is it possible that the voltage stablizer is to blame ? All my other gauges work and the tach works if I put it in my parts car, any clues ? thanks Bo

- Not likely, since the voltage stabilizer has nothing to do with the tach. If the VS was bad, the temp and fuel gauges would be affected. It's probably a bad guage or connection to the coil or the po
