What, besides the very obvious, crankshaft, backing plate etc, is involved in using a 1275 engine from a mini in a sprite? Is it do-able but not worth the hassle? Andy

It's do-able and many have been done. The major benefits are availability and a thick flange block. You'll need at least a crank, caps and backing plate plus other mods. It's probably better value to

I've got a 1275 in my sprite and a 850cc that goes in a mini wagon. The difference seems to be the front plate it doesn't have the mounting for the engine mounts that the spridget engine has, the oil

But thers no drilling/grinding involved is there? 1275 Marinas aren't so easy to find. I have an 1100 sprite crank and it will get a rivergate back plate.
