Hello spridgets, here's one for the list. i need INFO... i have a 66 with a slight exhaust leak where the manifold and the exhaust pipe go together. i have NO donut there. is it supposed to have one?

Stock 1098s and very eary 1275s had a built in donut on the end of the manifold. That "special" clamp around the flanged exhaust pipe was supposed to keep things quiet. Well it worked on paper. -- Fr

My exhaust does not have a donut but an eclair. Word of caution. Don't over tighten the clamp as you will lose the filling. jay f
