What oil have you put in your dampers? The damper oil should be 20WT or Penrite damper oil. Don't use multi wieghts in the dampers, it is designed to work with 20WT standard oil. I don't think you ha

Multi wieght will give you worse gas mileage and slower acceleration (slightly).

Just don't try WD40, as a teen I thought it would give me faster throttle response based on my just enough to be dangerous understanding of how the carbs worked (why delay more air, lets get it NOW!)

WD40 is too thin. You need something with some viscocity when the engine's cold... that helps make the mixture very rich on accelleration... has a similar affect on an SU sort of like an accelerator
