What happens when you try to pump up pressure with the priming lever ? Could you simply be out of gas ? Any chance you didn't get the pullrod from the diaphragm properly engaged with the arm ? Randa

Paul, and all, I was just going to start rebuilding an original AC fuel pump (with priming lever) for my TR-3A. Currently I have a repro pump from Moss on the car that seems to work fine. I was plann

I have what I believe are original AC pumps with lever. Some have the friction fit pin and some have the pin & circlip set up. After experiencing the catastrophic failure you mention (more than once!

List , I rebuilt my fuel pump and had the same problem of too much flow and pressure. I tried all the solutions and the only one that helped was a pressure regulator from NAPA. All the rest got too c

Dennis : IMO, you shouldn't have a problem. I've rebuilt mine several times over the years, and never had a problem with high fuel pressure. Plus, it's easy to reduce the pressure produced by a mecha
