Come to think of it, may be that they are prone to drying out. Mine seem to stop weeping once the gaskets have been wetted, but weep when first seeing gas after a long lay-off (more than a week or so

This could be true but in my case its only the forward carb that weeps. I have never felt the rear carb to be damp. The rear carb also had the best threads..... hey how come I cant 'get rubber' in s
