- I have them on ALL my Triumphs. Simple, clean, invisible except for 'two' wires coming out of the dist. I've never had one go bad. No extra boxes, no multi-lead hookups. Best prices on the internet..

- I have truly enjoyed my petronix ignition on my 6 and look forward to using it in the 3. Unless you know to look for the extra wire, no one will know you aren't running points. Scott Suhring Elizabet

- I can't comment on the Crane, never having had one, but I do have a petronix - it's in the spare parts box. I took it out when the magnets in the collar that goes over the distributor shaft came loos

- I have the Pertronix on the Stag and the TR6, very reliable, knock on wood. But I would have either a spare or a set of points in the boot just in case they fail. Can't imagine either would be terrib
