Gary, 400 miles a day sounds ok, I made it to Calif from Colo, about 1200 miles in 24 hours, that doesn't count the down time in Las Vegas for the blown head gasket. I have gone from Denver to Kansas

Gary, I would say that 400 miles a day is ok if your making a long trip. While on our way out east this summer we made more like 600 miles a day to get there and then drove probably 300 miles aday ju

You asked about the optimum daily mileage to plan for on an LBC road trip. I am sure it depends in part on how far you intend to travel, but for a long trip, I would suggest you plan on 300 to 400 m

The operative issue in a road trip is: what are you trying to accomplish? For instance, if you take limited access motorways, you can easily make 700 miles a day. That works out to around 11 hours d
