Make sure that the metal wires under the seat that run front to back on the under side of the seat are still there and connected. It has been awhile, but I remember these helped tie things together.

I used to have a trick to stiffen the MGB seats. Some B seats came with webbing and some came with a diaphragm. I used to use both if the customer wanted a really firm seat. -- Marc Sayer 82 280ZXT 7
