I'm going to buy some new wheels for my 1963 BJ7. Any recommendations re 60 or 72 spokes? (My originals are 48, which I'm not going back to). Also, my tentative plan is to buy USA Dayton instead of I

I've had Dayton 72 stainless-spoke wheels with chrome rims on my BJ7 for sixteen years and am very happy with them. They are of excellent quality in my opinion. They are 5.5" width and I run 185/70-

60 spoke will be plenty fo your BJ7. You didn't say whether you were going for chrome, though you mentioned the stainless spokes. I've always used the Dunlops for my own and customers cars and have

I almost hate to jump in Rich because of your good esperience with them, but I feel I have to add my comments on Dunlop's. I added the chrome ones to my BJ8 in 1986. I can't tell you how many times I

This may be because the Dunlops didn't used to be laced with stainless spokes, but they are now, though I don't know when this began. Rich as

The British Wire Wheels website includes this statement: "Most Dunlop chrome wheels have chrome-plated stainless steel spokes and nipples. All DAYTON chrome wheels have polished stainless steel spoke
