- Definitely. 8 AWG at least. Also make sure you use solder on the terminals. A fuse I'm not so sure about. If it opens up, you'll probably damage the alternator. A fusible link might be better. I dou

- In the old days "M" DID stand for "000", but maybe in the very early 70's it got standardized to K for "kilo" This is one of the changes that cause a break in the rules that the letter for the power
