I to have experienced the wobble that you felt, so I took my 65 mk 1 off the
road and rebuilt the front suspension, including the steering rack.
I saw the hole in the rack housing but I thought it was a breather as there
is a bush in the non pinion end of the housing, this bush does wear often
but is fairly easy to replace. I also used urethane bushes throughout with
KYB shocks, the result is wonderful.
I also agree that we should make more use of this register, I also use a
Jaguar one and it is brilliant for advice. I might start the ball rolling
with a few questions.
1. I want to lower my car and fit swaybars front and rear. Can anyone
suggest cheaper alternatives than buying after market rear sway bars?
I will fit a 2500S bar in front.
2. What is the best way to upgrade my brake system.
