Stay away from the syncros provided by the big three.  I presume these
are the Taiwanese ones you speak of.  I have had the 3rd gear syncro go
bad twice on mine.  Racetorations in the UK apparently makes a syncro
that is much better.  Their website is www.racetorations.co.uk I think.
