Correct.  This is just a seam sealer.  The hatch is held in place with 2
screws.  Remove the screws, pry off the hatch with a screwdriver. When you
are withdrawing the wiper arm and water-washer tubes, be careful that bits
and pieces do not stay on the other side of the hatch, as they are awkward
to retrieve.
