        Folks:

I have come to the mountaintop for wisdom, oh great and
beneficent 6-packers!

Here is the riddle of life: My scuttle brace has been
buggered by the PO (hogged out for a CD deck). I am restoring
it to an original BL radio, and have purchased a scuttle brace
without modifications, but it needs to be recovered.
Moss and TRF offer recovering kits, for $90-100 (yikes!)
but I was wondering if there are alternatives.
Has anyone tried stretching vinyl, or perhaps a heat
shrinkable film over the brace? How about an upholstery shop?
Any chance of getting done for less? Or am I better off just
biting the bullet and send a check to TRF?
What are my options? (Hopefully one of them will include
the word 'cheap'!!!)

        Thanks all!

        Vance

Subject: Rear deck and forward deck section

I am getting all the parts ordered for my project and working around
while I have parts and know-how. One of the projects is to replace the
rear deck and the forward sections (dog legs) on both sides. I just got
the smaller pieces and am very disappointed that they are not even close
to the original pieces. Has anyone had any experience with the one piece
thing from Victoria British that replaces the other three? Does anyone
else offer anything like this? I'm no good at fabricating and this is
holding up my project considerably. I need to get my body work done
before the weather gets unsuitable to take the body out and get it
blasted.
